  • For tours within Canada or the near USA, we would be more than happy to assist you with roadmaps and recommendations on the places to see. If you love nature and its beauty, this is definitely the place for you!

The possibilities here are just endless: from fishing to watching bears, hiking to watching rodeos, trail rides to water sports, …and yes, even shopping. With some luck you may even have the chance to attend some Native Indian festivities.

Because of the mild and warm climate, the swimming season already starts in early May and goes all the way through September. The sunny tourist season, however, begins in April and extends into October/ November.

Then the winter season follows and offers a wide range of activities in the surrounding mountains. In the Okanagan Valley alone, there are four large and modern ski resorts. Every season has its own unique specialty here in the Okanagan:

Spring – is a time when nature awakes, run-offs flow down the mountain sides, animals (such as bears) come out of hibernation, and birds (which include exotic ones such as the hummingbirds) return from the south.

Summer is high-season, a time when many people just go to the beach to offered here in the area and activities run all summer long.

Fall is often an extension of our warm summer – what we call the enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Many attractions are also “Indian Summer”. It is also harvest time, when apples, pears, apricots and grapes are in abundance. Furthermore, the hunting season starts and the salmon runs are seen in many rivers.

Winter is the time when the snow falls lightly and Christmas concerts take place. While valley activities are more mellow, many visit the ski resorts for downhill skiing, cross-country, snowmobiling, etc. Because of the low humidity, the snow is mostly powdery and light.
